Digital Media/Multimedia

The purpose of this program is to prepare students for work as multimedia artists.This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Arts, A/V Technology and Communication career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Arts, A/V Technology and Communication career cluster. 

Students will work their ideas through design and in many cases to production. They will be working with students in the Entrepreneurship program to develop business skills that revolve around their creative work. 

Digital Media/Multimedia Foundations 1
This course provides competencies in presentation production issues, basic computer knowledge, illustration software, digital still photography, and photo editing software. Industry Certification: Adobe Photoshop

Digital Media/Multimedia Foundations 2
This course covers competencies in advanced design, color modes, and fonts. Industry Certification: Adobe Illustrator

Digital Media/Multimedia Foundations 3
This course covers competencies in design layout software. Industry Certification: Adobe InDesign

Digital Media/Multimedia Foundations 4
This course covers competencies in web-page design, HTML and CSS, and authoring software for web-page design.
